Power System Uninterruptible Power Supply / UPS
Uninterruptible AC power systems are used to supply AC power to industrial plants, power generation and distribution substations, and telecommunications systems.
They are microprocessed equipments of the "on-line" double conversion type, and their basic model is composed of a rectifier bridge (switched or thyristor, varying according to the power), an IGBT inverter bridge with sinusoidal PWM technology (Pulse Width Modulation), a by-pass circuit with a thyristor static switch, and a battery bank.
The equipment can operate with acid or alkaline batteries, open or sealed, as long as no voltage value is required outside the limits for which it was manufactured.
It may also have installed in its alternative branch one voltage stabilizer or transformer adapter.
It has a synoptic panel that allows a quick functional monitoring of the system through indications with multicolor LEDs and a liquid crystal display with 2x20 characters that allows the operator to visualize the operating mode, measurements, signals, and alarms present.
All commands, signals, and alarms are available by remote access, having as standard an RS-232 serial interface, galvanically isolated, with MOD-BUS RTU communication protocol.
